Step 2

Talk with the captain

Send an inquiry with your preferred date and any wishes for the ceremony. The captain replies with a written offer: date, time and total price.
Step 3

Confirm when you are ready

Accept the offer and pay securely online. Nothing is charged until you accept, and your captain is notified right away.

Compliant operators

Every captain agrees to the burial at sea rules where they operate, from federal EPA requirements to their state’s permits and paperwork.

Licensed, insured captains

Captains on Maritime Burials hold their own Coast Guard licenses and carry their own insurance.

Plans can change

If weather or life gets in the way, we move your service to a new date first. Refunds are available when a new date will not work.
