Himalayan Salt Urn

Material: Hand-carved natural Himalayan rock salt.

Each salt urn is carved by hand from a single block of Himalayan rock salt, so the color and veining are slightly different on every one. It is one of the most natural ways to return someone to the sea.

Place the ashes inside and close the lid. When it is lowered into the water the urn sinks and begins to dissolve within minutes, usually disappearing completely within a few hours, depending on the water.

Shipping and care: Ships sealed in protective packaging to keep the salt dry and fresh. Salt draws moisture from the air, so leave it in the packaging, indoors and away from humidity, until the service. It is heavier than a paper urn, so keep it in its box until you are ready on deck.
